iPhone gets price cut on Tesco Mobile

A Tesco Mobile iPhone 3G S tariff offering unlimited inclusive calls, texts and data is now considerably cheaper after the carrier cut a chunk off the price to attract new customers.

The tariff used to cost £60, but now is £15 cheaper each month with a £45 price tag on a 24-month contract. This comes complete with a free iPhone 3G S with 16GB of onboard storage.

Tesco Mobile also offers a 12-month deal which includes unlimited data, texts and 750 inclusive minutes for £35 monthly.

Buyers will, however, need to pay £200 if they want the iPhone 3G S 16GB on this deal, although for £100 they can pick up the two-year-old iPhone 3G 8GB.

The iPhone 3G S is soon to be succeeded by an as yet unannounced model and Apple has recently debuted the fourth version of the iPhone operating system (OS) which will launch alongside the new smartphone in the summer.

Specifications for the latest incarnation of the handset have yet to be confirmed, but rumours suggest that it will feature a new radical design as well as a better camera.
