In the run-up to the announcement of the new iPhone's release, rumours of a white version becoming available have been partially confirmed thanks to a leaked picture.
Various hardware components and the external shell of the iPhone 4G were snapped and then attached to an email that made its way to a US Apple repair store.
There is not a huge amount of detail in the leaked images, although the most obvious feature is the all-white back plate which sports the traditional shiny Apple logo and suggests that the expected black edition might be joined by a white alternative.
Some believe that the leaked images show a prototype iPhone, which might mean that the real thing will not end up following this design choice.
Apple is purportedly launching the iPhone 4G later today at its World Wide Developers Conference in San Francisco, so all of these rumours can finally be put to bed and the real thing can get a thorough examination.
