iPhone Looxcie wearable camera debuts

Looxcie has brought its wearable video camera for smartphones to the iPhone, offering an impressive four hours of continuous video recording with a full charge.

Priced $199 and compatible with the 3G S and iPhone 4, the Looxcie LX1 connects seamlessly to your iOS device via Bluetooth and clips smartly onto your ear. Smartly, if you don’t mind looking a bit silly, that is.

The device also enables 30-second clips to be uploaded directly to Facebook, YouTube and all your favourite email clients and is aimed at cutting out the need to press your handset’s record button every time you want to capture something.

Romulus Pereira, Chief Executive Officer at Looxcie, said: “Millions of iPhone users rely on their smartphones for daily utility, entertainment and connection with friends and family.

“But until now, they have had to anticipate when something is going to happen that they want to capture and share. We’re thrilled that as promised Looxcie for iPhone is now available and can give this audience a chance to record video and socialize it without having to be held hostage by the technology.”

Looxcie’s kit is also compatible with Android phones running version 2.0 of the OS or above.
