Vodafone has extended its iPhone 4 weekend deal until tomorrow, as it looks to clear stock before the imminent launch of the iPhone 5 or 4S.
The offer, which ends Tuesday 27th September, enables punters to bag the iPhone 4 16GB edition free on a two-year contract at £39 per month – slashed from £41 per month previously.
In return, they will be entitled to 600 minutes anytime, any-network minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of monthly data allowance.
They’ll also receive 2GB of web access at thousands of BT Openzone Wi-Fi hotspots spread across the UK.
Meanwhile, O2 has discounted the iPhone 3GS to £21.50 per month, which comes with 100 minutes call-time, 500 texts and of course, a free handset.
The recent series of price drops of current and older iPhone models suggests that networks are internally bracing for the inevitable launch of a new iPhone in the next couple of months.
Word on the street is that Apple is reportedly denying its employees holidays between October 9th and 12th and October 14th and 15th. The former period could be when Apple announces the new iPhone(s) and the latter the date the handsets are finally launched.
The phone-maker is also rumoured to be holding its launch event at its Cupertino headquarters, possibly to create a more intimate venue for new CEO Tim Cook to engage the tech world for his first unveiling of an iPhone.
