U2 are set to play at today’s iPhone 6 launch event, with rumours swirling that the band’s new album will be bundled with the upcoming device.
Speaking with the New York Times, three sources have intimated that Bono and co will perform a short set after the launch.
Word is an interactive element of the Irish acts’s forthcoming long player will be included with the new Apple handsets.
U2 have previously worked with Apple on their own branded iPods, with Bono used as the model for the ‘Songs’ tab on current iPod models.
Previous acts to have played at Apple launches include Norah Jones, Foo Fighters and Chris Martin.
Apple will launch its iPhone 6 and iWatch products at a special event in Cupertino this evening at 6pm UK time.
