Apple looks set to unveil a third version of its iPad Pro, amid rumours it will hold a special launch event at the new Apple Park HQ at the start of April.
The 2017 edition of the iPad Pro is said to feature a 10.5–inch display, placing it in between the existing 9.7–inch and 12.9–inch models.
Supply-chain sources say Apple has ramped up production of the 10.5–inch model, after opting to bringing forward the release of the tablet.
The fresh take on the iPad Pro was purportedly initially scheduled for summer.
Apple will also use the launch event to unveil updated versions of other iPad Pro lines, as it looks to arrest declining interest in its tablet line-up due to the major success of larger iPhones.
Unfortunately, it appears talk of a revamped iPhone SE is wide of the mark, with the second edition of last year’s 4–inch smartphone not due to make an appearance until later in the year, if at all.
It’s doubtful Apple will make any mention of the iPhone 8 at the event either.
The handset is not expected to launch until September at the earliest, with Apple apparently planning to include an OLED screen and entirely new design to mark the iPhone's tenth anniversary.
