iPhone 8 size revealed thanks to latest leak

Despite being four months away from launch, Apple’s iPhone 8 is now the subject of daily leaks. And today we've been treated to yet another one: this time revealing the dimensions of the upcoming device.

Upstart Apple leaker Benjamin Geskin claims that the iPhone 8 will measure 143.59 x 70.94 x 7.57 mm.

Want more iPhone 8 news? We've collated all the speculation for our rumours round-up.

That compares with the iPhone 7’s 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1 mm and the iPhone 7 Plus’s 158.2 x 77.9 x 7.3 mm.

Mock-up images made by Geskin based on these dimensions show the iPhone 8 to have a larger screen than the iPhone 7 Plus, despite being smaller in overall size, thanks to an all–screen front.

It’s largely expected that the bottom section of the screen will act as a ‘function area’, much like the multitouch panel on Apple’s top–end MacBook Pro.

Its function will change depending on what apps are open at the time. So if you're in Spotify, you'd use it to change songs. Or you might access secure content via Touch ID.

More details about the iPhone 8 are likely to emerge in the coming weeks, especially with the company’s WWDC event taking place from 5th June in California.
