Apple is set to offer a ‘blush gold’ edition of its upcoming iPhone 8, as the company looks to revamp the look and feel of its smartphone range.

According to serial leaker Benjamin Geskin, citing sources on China’s Weibo social network, the new colour option will be offered with 64GB and 128GB models of the iPhone 8. There's no word of it coming with the largest 256GB option.

Geskin has had a strong track record in revealing plans from Apple’s supply chain. However, until Apple actually launches the iPhone 8, it’s unlikely this rumour will be corroborated.

Last week it was reported that Apple was simplifying its colours strategy for the iPhone 8, selling it in just black, silver and gold.

A series of reports centring on the release of software for Apple’s HomePod speaker have revealed detailed plans for the iPhone 8, including for a new facial scanning system, a virtual home button area and improved 4K video recording.

The iPhone 8 is expected to be unveiled in September.
