Apple has released an update for its iOS 11 platform, fixing a call quality problem with the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.
Owners of Apple’s new smartphones had complained of hearing static and crackling noises when making calls.

The freshly baked iOS 11.0.2 edition also fixes a glitch with email attachments not opening and tackles an issue that meant images were hidden within the Photos app.
However, in news to disappoint the Apple faithful the update does not add some heavily trailed features such as iCloud Messages and Apple Pay Cash.
These major additions with iOS 11, first shown off at Apple’s WWDC event back in June, did not make it into the version released by Apple a fortnight ago.
The good news is that they are expected to debut in the next few weeks, possibly alongside the new iPhone X, which becomes available for pre–order on 23rd October.
iOS 11 is said to have been installed on 38% of compatible iPhones and iPads.
