Tesco Mobile has joined the scrum of networks announcing contract prices for the much heralded iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. But because it’s not taking pre-orders, you’ll have to wait until the official on-sale date to buy them.
The iPhone XS (64GB edition) starts at £46.25 per month on a Tesco Mobile 36-month plan, with nothing to pay upfront. That bags you 5GB of data, 5,000 texts and 5,000 minutes per month.
The 64GB edition of the iPhone XS Max is available with the same allowances for £49.49 per month. Once again, that’s over a 36-month contract term and there’s no upfront payment.
Until 2nd December, Tesco Mobile will also be running a series of promotions on the handsets, with contracts with substantially more generous data allowances.
Sign up for one of these and you’ll be able to get the iPhone XS with 40GB of data per month for a monthly outlay of £54.25 over 36 months.
Want the XS Max with an identical 40GB allowance? That’ll be priced £57.49. Natch, that’s over 36 months too.
The catch is that although you can register your interest now, you can’t get in early and pre-order your phone now.
So you’ll have to take your chances with other would-be owners on the 21st September.
As with all Tesco Mobile contracts, customers who sign up for any of its XS or XS Max plans qualify for free Tesco Clubcard points when they pay their monthly bills.
