Apple has released its latest update to iOS 12, bringing with it a host of small improvements for FaceTime, as well as haptic touch functionality to notifications on the iPhone XR.
iOS 12.1.1 is available to download now for compatible iPhones and iPads worldwide.
FaceTime now offers the option to capture a Live Photo during a conversation, as long as both users have the new FaceTime Live Photos feature toggled in their Settings app.
Apple has also redesigned the bottom bar on the FaceTime call screen, with easier access to call muting and camera flipping.
There are also new menus for call options when using FaceTime for group chats.
Meanwhile, iPhone XR owners can now use haptic touch on lock screen notifications. By pressing and holding down on a notification, it can be expanded to see further details of messages and information from key apps.
This mirrors the functionality of 3D Touch on the pricier iPhone XS.
Other features include eSIM support in a host of European countries and changes to the native News app.
