A wireless router which allows up to four people to connect to the internet using mobile broadband is being released by 3.
The D100, manufactured by Huawei, will allow a user to slot in a 3 USB modem stick and allow three other users to enjoy the benefits of their mobile broadband connection.
Once the connection is set up, the device becomes a wireless router, allowing Wi-Fi broadband access.
Tony Dennis of the Inquirer has highlighted the different methods which can already be used to share an internet connection.
He said: "There are several ways of sharing your mobile broadband connection. For starters, you can simply turn your PC, Mac, or laptop into a wireless access point through software."
Mac users can use the Airport function to achieve this while PC owners also have the option of Internet Connection Sharing, said Mr Dennis.
The D100 is retailing through the 3 online store for a price of £69.99.
