Consumers who sign up for selected 3 mobile broadband offerings through Top 10 Broadband will receive a free iPod Shuffle and a £20 voucher, as part of new deal which is available for a limited period only.
Under the terms of the offer, customers who buy either deal through the price comparison site get the new iPod Shuffle, which is capable of storing up to 500 songs, as well as a voucher for £20 to spend on accessories at Comet.
In order to benefit from the deal, customers need to enter the promotional code TOP10BBX8G into the relevant field on the Top 10 Broadband site when inputting their order. The dongle and free gifts are guaranteed to arrive the next day.
The offer is available on three of the company’s mobile broadband deals, all of which offer mobile broadband connection speeds of up to 3.6Mb and come with an E160G modem stick.
The deals to which the offer applies are 3’s 18-month package that entitles customers to 5GB monthly download limit, as well as the company’s 12-month package with a 3GB monthly limit - also priced at £15 per month. Finally, heavier downloaders can benefit from the free gifts by choosing the 18-month contract which gives a download limit of 15GB for £30 per month.
3’s latest incentive is a sign that the mobile broadband market is set to become increasingly competitive this year, as more and more consumers opt to access the internet on the move and the battle for marketshare heats up. It is now likely that rival internet service providers will follow suit and launch similar offerings with free gifts.
Other mobile broadband packages offered by 3 include incentives such as a free Hewlett Packard Compaq Mini 700 Laptop, which start at £25 per month. This deal is available when signing up for a 24-month contract and entitles customers to a monthly download limit of 5GB.
Latterly, 3 has won a series of plaudits for its range of mobile broadband deals. Last year, it garnered the award for best mobile broadband package from Top 10 Broadband. The company then built on its success when technology site Electric Pig named its mobile broadband offerings the best on the market for consumers who use the service infrequently.
