3 has slashed the cost of its one-month and pay as you go MiFi mobile broadband products and has added a raft of new devices to its broadband laptop bundles.
As of today, the upfront price for the company’s pay as you go 3GB MiFi deal falls from £99.99 to £69.99. Meanwhile, buyers’ initial outlay for 3’s one month 5GB MiFi offer has dropped from £69.99 to £49.99.
The mobile broadband provider is now also offering customers the chance to buy the MiFi unit outright with no usage. They are then free to add credit with top up vouchers as and when it is needed.
The changes to its MiFi line coincide with a refresh of the firm’s broadband laptop deals, which has seen the addition of a host of new high-end models. Now available with 3 are the Samsung N-130, the Toshiba T-130, the Windows Seven-powered Compaq CQ61 and the HP 311, all of which were only recently released as standalone products.
And in another sign that 3 is gearing up for the Christmas market, it has also unveiled an online-only incentive for its 5GB contract dongle deal that slashes a total of £54 off the price over the 18-month contract.
In order to qualify for the promotion, which cuts the monthly price of the deal from £15 to £12, consumers can visit Top 10 Broadband’s dedicated 3 provider page. They can then sign up for the deal and enter the promotional code 3MBB3OFF upon completion of their purchase.
Jessica McArdle, marketing manager at Top 10 Broadband, said: “Top 10 Broadband is delighted to hear that 3 have released another range of hot-off-the-conveyor-belt laptops to those looking to sign up with mobile broadband.
“For those worried about the postal strike, there’s no need to worry, 3 have made arrangements with a private contractor to make sure you can still get your laptop and mobile broadband in a matter of days.”
3’s decision to outsource deliveries to a private contractor comes as retail experts have forecasted that MiFis will be especially sought-after gadgets for the festive season.
