Internet service provider (ISP) 3 is continuing to make improvements to its network in a bid to improve customer service levels, it has been claimed.

According to Mobile Broadband Product Manager Matt Halfin, the growing popularity of dongle and Mi-Fi devices has required the firm to continue making upgrades, in order to provide the highest quality consumer experience.

He noted that data now accounts for 97 per cent of traffic on 3's network, meaning the ISP cannot afford to stand still.

"This is why we've invested heavily in our network this past year to create the UK's biggest 3G network and allow our customers to have a fast and reliable internet experience," Mr Halfin stated.

3 currently offers a range of dongle-based broadband deals, ranging from one month in duration to 24 months. Consumers are able download at a rate of up to 7.2Mb with a 3 USB modem.
