Samsung has issued an update to its test version of Android Pie on Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus smartphones, just days after releasing the second version of the software.

The latest tweak fixes problems that arose earlier this week. Some users with the test software said they were unable to access their data connection, while others complained that certain apps would not open.

Those on the trial programme can access the latest update via their Settings app by heading to the software update menu.

Samsung this week rolled out Android Pie to testers in the UK, as part of its trial of its new One UI.

The custom skin is based on Google’s latest software release and is expected to get a wider release in the new year, when Samsung releases its new Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus.

Meanwhile, there is no word on when Galaxy Note 9 owners will get access to One UI and Android Pie.

Users in the US are already able to trial the software, suggesting a UK launch should not be far behind.
