Apple launched the iPhone 17 during its ‘Awe-Dropping’ event in September 2025. In addition to the new iPhone 17, it also launched the first iPhone Air. The event also featured updates to Apple Watch and technological improvements to AirPods.
You can order the iPhone 17 handset by comparing and purchasing through one of the many deals in the table above.
‘All day’ battery, with 8 more hours of video playback compared with iPhone 16.
Now includes visual intelligence and Live Translation, powered by iOS 26 and the A19 processing chip
Like with any Apple flagship smartphone, there is an excellent range of deals to choose from. To ensure you select the right iPhone for you, consider the following factors about iPhone 17 deals.
The iPhone 17 can come with a range of data options, from 1GB a month to unlimited data.
According to Ofcom, the average person uses around 5.6GB of data per month. Keep this in mind when selecting a data package; no one wants to pay for more data than they need, and not all deals let you roll over unused data.
If you're used to notifications telling you that you've run out of storage, whether you’re planning on taking lots of photos and videos or downloading films from streaming services, then you should opt for an iPhone model with more storage.
The iPhone 17 model has just two storage options: 256GB and 512GB. Check how much storage you use on your current device, and remember that higher storage models will increase your overall price.
As detailed above, the best iPhone 17 deal is always the one that best suits your needs, depending on factors such as upfront cost and monthly data allowance. The cheapest current deals for the iPhone 17 are around £850.
Just like with data, there will be a range of upfront cost options when selecting an iPhone 17 deal. Generally, if you can afford to pay more upfront, the overall cost of the contract will be reduced because your monthly fee will be less.
However, if you want to avoid a large upfront cost, you can also spread the cost of a contract over longer periods of time, which some people prefer.
The iPhone 17 is the entry-level and cheapest in the lineup. As listed above, it has a great range of specs. However, if you want improved features like more powerful cameras and even more processing power, then it might be worth paying more for the iPhone 17 Pro.
The most noticeable difference in the iPhone 17's design compared with the previous model is the presence of a plateau on the back. This new design feature provides more space for internal components and accommodates a larger battery.
The iPhone 17's screen size has increased to 6.3 inches (up from 6.1 inches on the iPhone 16), with a thinner border. It retains the previous model's Super Retina XDR display, Dynamic Island, and ProMotion display.
In addition, the iPhone 17 has reverted to an aluminium casing, which is intended to be lighter than the titanium casing. The updated Ceramic Shield 2 protective cover is now bound to the screen at an atomic level and is three times more scratch-resistant than the previous model.
The iPhone 17's ProMotion display has a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, providing a smooth and efficient video experience that is also perfect for gaming. The new A19 chip and 5-core GRU enable faster and more efficient display motion.
Additionally, the Ceramic Shield 2 is complemented by a 7-layer anti-reflective coating, which further enhances the screen's finish.
Since its launch, Apple Intelligence has expanded with even better visual intelligence and live translation. This means it’s even better at searching by images and photos, and can translate languages in real time as you speak with people.
Simply holding the camera and pointing at an object, Apple’s multimodal AI will analyse the photo and provide search results or other relevant information based on what it “sees.” This can range from reviewing a clothing shop or restaurant to scanning an event flyer and adding it to your calendar.
The iPhone 17 keeps its 48MP Main camera, but this time, it’s paired with another 48MP ultra-wide camera.
This Dual Fusion camera system enables you to capture super-high-resolution photos with twice the optical quality and from multiple depths. However, the camera will still default to 24MP for your everyday snaps, since it produces smaller files.
The front camera is even cooler. The iPhone 17 debuts with ‘Center Stage’ software, which is Apple’s widest-ever field of view with a twice-as-large sensor. Additionally, the sensor is now positioned square for the first time, meaning you won’t have to rotate your phone to switch to landscape mode. The sensor utilises AI to detect when multiple people are in view and automatically shift to them. Neat!
Another new feature is Dual Capture video, which allows you to use both cameras simultaneously. This is perfect for filming the action and your reaction simultaneously.
In addition to the new shape, a couple of upgrades from the iPhone 16 are worth pointing out.
The screen is slightly larger at 6.3 inches, and the Always-On display, previously available only on the iPhone Pro Max, is now standard on the iPhone 17.
The updated camera specs—two 48MP cameras and a new ‘Center Stage’ front camera—are worth noting. And everyone loves a long battery life, so the iPhone 17 adds eight extra hours to the potential video playback time.
The iPhone 17 Pro model features the same casing, screen, and display as the non-Pro version, as well as a similar increase in battery size compared to the previous model.
The Pro version features an additional camera, the 48MP Fusion Telephoto, which enables 8x zoom and a 40x digital zoom. For the first time, all three iPhone cameras feature a 48MP resolution, which is rather impressive.
The iPhone 17 Pro features improved processing, a faster chip (the A19Pro), and an additional GPU core. All this power necessitated a new thermal system to sustain the higher performance. In addition to being lighter, the aluminium casing offers 20 times the thermal conductivity.
“Overall, this is the first time in a few years that I can confidently say: if you’ve been holding out for a base iPhone that actually feels new, the iPhone 17 is the one to buy.
“It’s not just another small step forward; it’s the most well-rounded 'regular' iPhone Apple’s made in a long time.”
Battery life is always a concern, regardless of how much power you use. So, Apple introduced new power-saving features designed to predict when you’re likely to run low on power and help you stay powered for longer.
The iPhone 17’s new design, with its prominent rear plateau, provides more physical space for the battery. Although we don’t know the exact battery size, we can say you could get up to 30 hours of video playback, compared with 22 on the iPhone 16.

Yes you can. By using the filters on the left hand side of the deals table you can select the option to only show contracts with no upfront cost.
However, this will greatly increase your monthly payments and if you can afford to pay some fees upfront you will save money overall.
Yes you can. There are a range of providers, including Three, Vodafone, O2, Sky Mobile, Tesco Mobile and iD Mobile that all over unlimited data contracts.
It is worth bearing in mind that this will drive up the cost of your contract so only go for unlimited data if you really need it.
