Sky Cinema will broadcast the Oscars live this year, as well as show a host of Oscar-themed programming.

Sunday night's ceremony will air exclusively live on Sky Cinema Oscars, a rebranded channel that sits number 304 on the Sky EPG.

Starting at 11:30pm, presenter Alex Zane and guests including Heat editor Boyd Hilton, journalist and film critic Anna Smith and actor Sanjeev Bhaskar will front 'Oscars 2017: Red Caret Live' in the run-up to the ceremony.

Live coverage of the awards themselves starts at 1:30am.

Some of 2016's winners like 'Bridge of Spies' and 'The Revenant' will be collected together in a special on-demand section of Sky Cinema. In all, around 100 Oscar-winning films will be available, including classics.

"The Oscars is the biggest moment in the film industry and as the UK and Ireland's leading in-home movies service, Sky Cinema will provide unrivalled coverage throughout the week across all platforms," said Ian Lewis, group director, Sky Cinema.

"As well as showing exclusively live coverage of the Academy Awards, viewers can enjoy all the previews, news and reviews as well as over 100 Oscar-winning films throughout the week."
