Julia Davis (Nighty Night, Camping) is making a comedy drama for Sky One.

Called Sally4Ever, it stars Catherine Shepherd (Paddington) as Sally, who's been living with safe-but-dull David (Alex Macqueen) for a decade. When David proposes, Sally has a crisis and starts a love affair with the bohemian writer/singer/actress Emma (played by Davis).

But Sally is torn: is this what she really wants? Or was the whole affair just a mistake?

The seven-part series will also star Julian Barratt (The Mighty Boosh), Mark Gatiss (The League of Gentlemen) and Felicity Montague (I'm Alan Partridge).

The show is a joint production between Sky and US broadcaster HBO.

"I'm so excited to be making this project with Various Artists Ltd for Sky and HBO," said Davis, "and am incredibly lucky to be working with such an outstanding cast and receiving such great support and creative guidance from Sky and HBO."

It will air later this year.
