Vodafone has begun to roll out the new Samsung Wave to pre-order customers in the UK, bringing the Bada platform to the consumer proving grounds for the first time.
Any Vodafone customer who pre-ordered the Wave should already have received their new smartphone as the network began deliveries on Wednesday.
Vodafone's high street stores will be stocking the Samsung Wave from this week, a representative for the network told TechRadar.
The Wave is notable because Samsung's in-house Bada operating system is being showcased and what better place for it than on a smartphone with a large touchscreen display that uses Super AMOLED technology.
A five megapixel camera mounted on the back of the Wave can shoot high definition video clips and the Bada platform is getting its very own app store to complete the package.
Vodafone is offering the Wave free with a 24 month £25 pay monthly contract.
