The Samsung Galaxy Pro is on sale now on 3, teaming business blower functionality with Google’s a la mode Android OS.
3 is offering the handset for free when you sign up to a One Plan contract at £27 per month over 24 months. That entitles you to 2,000 any-time, any-network minutes per month, plus 5,000 texts. More importantly, it’ll also buy you unlimited data.
Standout features in the Pro’s spec sheet include a 2.8-inch touchscreen, a three megapixel snapper with autofocus and an 800MHz processor. And for sober-minded business types and heavy messagers, there’s a handy physical QWERTY keyboard too.
Less impressive is that the smartie ships with the positively 2010 Android 2.2 out of the box (with Sammy’s custom UI slathered over the top, natch). However, consolingly an update to the all-new, all-awesome Gingerbread version of Android ought to be along soon, apparently.
3 has also recently added the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play – AKA the PlayStation phone - to its line-up, as well as the HTC Desire S. So if you’re in the market for some Andoid new-ness, you’re more than catered for.
