The Samsung Galaxy S2 looks well on the way to becoming the year’s biggest-selling Android phone, after it emerged that global pre-orders for the high-end Android smartie have hit three million already.
Sammy broke the news of pent-up global demand for the sequel to the Galaxy S via its official Flickr page. The figure takes into account all pre-orders until the end of April, so you can probably add a few thousand on top of that too.
Widely regarded as the best-of-the-bunch of dual core processor packing Android smarties landing this year, the Galaxy S2 features the latest 2.3 Gingerbread version of Google’s operating system out of the box as well as a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display.
Also on board the phone, which went on sale earlier this month, is an eight-megapixel snapper with HD video recording, autofocus and LED flash, the option to make for contactless payments for low-ticket items via NFC support and a secondary two-megapixel camera for all your video calling needs.
