The Samsung Galaxy S3 will be coming to O2 in the UK, the carrier has confirmed, as networks rush to get on board with Sammy’s soon-to-land blower.
Making the announcement via its official Twitter account, O2 stated: “Excited about the next Samsung Galaxy? So are we – that’s why it’ll be coming to O2!”.
Earlier today, Vodafone also revealed it will be ranging the phone, the name of which has yet to be officially confirmed, ahead of its launch on May 3rd in London.
This week has seen the already-feverish rumour mill surrounding the phone step up a gear, amid a series of fresh leaks.
Today, a tag for Samsung’s Unpacked app in the official Android applictions market appeared to confirm that the successor to the S2 will indeed be called the Galaxy S3.
This jars with earlier rumours that Samsung could ‘do an Apple’ with the handset’s title and opt for a less obvious moniker.
A separate leak courtesy of Amazon’s German division also purportedly confirmed that the phone will rock a quad-core Exynos processor and a 12-megapixel camera.
Also present and correct, a listing on the German version of the site revealed, is the much-rumoured 4.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus HD touchscreen.
