T-Mobile cuts prices on Samsung Galaxy S3

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is now available free at £21 per month over 24-months on T-Mobile, as part of a two-day flash sale.

Buyers who sign up to buy the phone through Mobilephonesdirect.co.uk before midnight on Thursday (September 27th) qualify for the reduced price.

As well as a free 16GB edition of the handset in pebble blue, the offer entitles takers to 300 minutes per month, 250MB of data and unlimited text messages.

With 20-odd million sales since it dropped back in March, the S3 is Samsung’s fastest-selling phone ever and teams a hallmark 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD screen with an eight-megapixel camera and the Siri-rivalling S-Voice digital assistant-cum-voice-commands-app.

The handset also stands out for the SmartStay intelligent sleep mode that uses the 1.89-megapixel front-facing camera and motion detection technology to determine whether the S3 is in use.

The feature is aimed at ending the irritation of screens going blank mid-way through movies when the user has not touched the handset for a few minutes.

Although powered by Android Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, the newest Jelly Bean version of the OS began rolling out to the phone internationally this week. Jelly Bean will land first on unlocked kits bought off contract initially, with network-specific updates scheduled for later this year.
