Samsung has released a new video to tease us about the ‘Next Galaxy’, as we count down to the handset’s imminent unveiling this Thursday.
Featuring a young lad named Jeremy Maxwell (who we think might be loosely based on Richie Rich), the video is a continuation of the riveting story (not really) from the teaser released last week.
The first instalment showed Jeremy become one of the lucky few to get a sneak peek at the highly anticipated flagship kit inside a mysterious box with the logo for this week’s Unpacked event in New York slapped on the sides.
In this new video, Jeremy takes the box home, gets harried by a neighbouring girl – possibly girlfriend - who’s wants to know if it’s for her (it’s not) and finally places it on his desk for a closer look, this time exclaiming: “ZOMG! It’s my favourite colour!”.
During this, Jeremy happens to be holding an Oreo too, which might suggest the handset will land in black and white, as hinted by Samsung’s black and white Times Square billboards last week.
It might also mean that Samsung could really be moving away from the “nature-inspired” colourways of the Galaxy S3, which launched in the marble white and pebble blue options.
The South Korean tech leviathan is set to officially raise the curtain on the Galaxy S4 on Thursday at a press call in New York.
Details are still sketchy, but if you place much stock in leaks and conjecture, the S4 will feature a 4.99-inch Super AMOLED display with a full HD resolution, a 13-megapixel camera and Samsung’s new eight-core Exynos Octa chipset.
The event takes place at 7pm Eastern Standard Time, which unfortunately for those of you in the GMT time zone is midnight. In any case, keep ‘em peeled for our full coverage.
