The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active will go on sale next month, reports suggest, bringing a fresh addition to the new breed of Android tough phones.
According to sources cited by SamMobile, the water and dust-resistant, 4G-compatible handset is set to go on sale on these shores on July 1st.
Aside from being water-resistant for up to 30 minutes when submerged in one metre of water, the Galaxy S4 Active's feature set takes in a 1.9GHZ quad-core processor, 16GB of internal storage with microSD card support, a 2,600mAh battery and a five-inch Full HD TFT LCD screen.
It's also home to an eight-megapixel camera with an Aqua Mode for undersea snapping and water-resistant earphone jack so you can kick back on that lilo with some summer jams without worrying that you'll drop your phone in the drink.
As with the standard Galaxy S4, Samsung's Nature UX version of Android is on board too. That means would-be buyers get features such as the tilt-to-scroll Smart Scroll function, the S Health well-being monitor, as well as Smart Pause, which automatically pauses video when you turn your eyes away from the S4 Active's screen.
