Samsung’s new Galaxy S8 smartphone has been pictured in a newly leaked image, giving the clearest indication yet that it will not feature a home button.
The new phone, due to be revealed in late March according to recent reports, has an edge–to–edge screen and appears to be running a Samsung–modified version of Google’s Android Nougat software.
The gold look is likely to be one of a number of colour options offered by the Korean tech giant, which is expected to show off the phone to select media behind closed doors at next month’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The picture does not confirm whether Samsung has moved the fingerprint scanner to the back of the Galaxy S8, or embedded it within the phone’s screen, as many rumours have suggested.
It is also unclear whether the device comes with a standard headphone slot. Some tech watchers believe Samsung will follow Apple’s lead and get rid of the decades old technology.
