Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy S8 could feature customisable on-screen buttons, it has emerged.
The rumour, which tallies with suggestions that the S8 wil not have a physical home button, stems from eagle–eyed tech watchers who have pored over a pair of leaked images of the device.
One snap shows the button configuration on the S8 that's in line with Samsung’s current standard, with the app button on the left, home button in the middle and back button on the right.

The other image, though, shows the back button on the left, home in the middle and apps on the right.
This is the configuration favoured by Google on its Pixel smartphones.
By getting rid of the physical home button, it seems Samsung may be able to allow Galaxy S8 and S8+ owners to tweak the buttons to suit their taste.
Such a move also would also have added bonus of placing the fingerprint scanner on the back of the device.
Samsung revealed this week that it will launch the Galaxy S8 at a special event in New York on 29th March.
