Over the past few months we’ve been busy pulling together some interviews and interesting tidbits on some of the most popular small suppliers out there.

Our “Meet the small suppliers…” series examines the origins of some of the nation’s small providers and finds out a bit about their goals and how they see the energy market.

The list

We haven’t been able to speak to all of the small suppliers out there yet, but that’s the plan, so don’t worry if your favourite isn’t on the list yet!

  • LoCO2
    Founded in 2009, LoCO2 hopes to provide consumers with a low cost option for sourcing green energy.
  • Spark Energy
    Although Spark Energy is specialised in the rental market, the supplier is now making inroads into providing energy for private homes.
  • Ecotricity
    Find out how Ecotricity is planning to change the way the UK sources its energy. The supplier was founded in 1995 and proclaims itself the “world’s first green energy company”.
  • Ovo Energy
    One of the fastest growing energy suppliers in the UK. In this edition of “Meet the small suppliers…”, Ovo Energy tells us about its journey from the kitchen table to 400,000 customers.
  • Good Energy
    Another supplier vying for the crown of the greenest energy supplier in the UK. Based in Wiltshire in the South West of England, the supplier has grown quickly in recent years and now has 66,000 customers, as well as its own wind farm.
