The highly anticipated, entertainment-focused HTC HD2 has landed on pre-order on Top 10 Mobile Phones on O2 contracts. View deals for the handset here: HTC HD2.

Available on a selection of standalone monthly contract plans and free gift bundles, the HD2 stands out for its huge 4.3-inch touchscreen - the largest yet seen on a mobile phone.

The handset is also notable for the incorporation of the latest 6.5 edition of the Windows Mobile operating system and a widget-based homescreen that allows users to customise their phone.

Other key specifications of the HD2 include a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, which lets users to access its functions simultaneously, as well as a five megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash.

HTC has yet to confirm an official release date for the HD2, which was originally anticipated to land in stores last week.

News of the Taiwanese company’s latest handset comes as it this week unveiled a new advertising campaign intended to continue its ongoing transformation from a niche concern to a mass market brand.
