Vodafone is set to launch two smartphones from HTC, one from Google and one from Sony Ericsson after it made official announcements this week.

The HTC Desire is going to join the HTC Legend and the Google Nexus One is also arriving, along with the [Sony Ericsson Xperia X10] at some point in April.

Vodafone has not given any information relating to the price of the new smartphones, but it is likely that availability will be a monthly contract-only basis.

Although the Desire, Nexus One and X10 are expected to be offered by rival networks, Vodafone has revealed that the Legend will be exclusive to its customers.

The HTC Legend will be cheaper than the other three additions to Vodafone's revamped smartphone line-up and its use of the Sense user interface on top of Google's Android operating system is likely to mark it out as a great mobile for the money.
