Virgin Media is adding three new high end smartphones to its line-up, with the HTC Desire, Samsung Galaxy Portal and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 making an appearance soon.
The HTC Desire and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 should be available in April, but Virgin Mobile has not announced pricing or tariffs for these smartphones.
The lower priced Galaxy Portal is ready for customers right now and can be coupled with a £22 monthly contract with an 18 month minimum commitment.
Virgin Mobile is following in the footsteps of Vodafone, which made headlines recently after it announced its own ever-expanding smartphone range would be getting the HTC Desire, Nexus One and Legend mobiles.
Android is quickly becoming the platform of choice for manufacturers and with more of the major networks snapping up Android-based smartphones, its next generation dominance looks to be something of a certainty.
