The LG LU2300 has been confirmed as on its way by the South Korean manufacturer, bringing yet more Android-based fun to the market.
The LU2300 is notable for sporting a 3.5-inch AMOLED screen coupled with a slide out landscape QWERTY keypad.
It will also run on Android 2.1, although prototype shots suggest that LG has not tinkered too much with the standard Android layout.
Inside the LU2300 is the 1GHz Snapdragon processor that it seems no self-respecting Android smartphone can be without and LG has added a five megapixel camera and GPS into the mix.
LG will provide users of the LU2300 with the ability to watch live digital TV broadcasts, although this feature could be limited to the South Korean version.
Wi-Fi and augmented reality apps will definitely go global with the LU2300 and it will be interesting to see how these are implemented.
Consumers in LG's native market will be able to buy the LU2300 from some time in the next couple of months but thus far the UK release date has not been made public.
