Motorola is allegedly planning to launch a cheap and cheerful smartphone based on Android, with leaked images purporting to show the mobile before it is officially announced.
The Motorola WX445 is said to sport Android 2.1 and an updated version of the MotoBlur interface that Motorola has been using on many of its current Android-based smartphones.
The entry level credentials of the WX445 are clear because of its three inch screen and medium resolution camera that lacks a flash.
The US launch of the WX445 looks to be a certainty as the snapped phone shows the branding of the Verizon network, according to Engadget.
Hopefully the WX445 will not stay as a US exclusive, because there is most definitely a growing market for small, entry level Android smartphones in the UK and elsewhere.
