The Windows Phone 7 handset will officially go on sale on the network, which is the sole UK carrier selling the handset, from October 21st.

Orange’s £35 per month price point entitles takers to 600 any network call minutes and unlimited text and anytime internet browsing.

Standout features of the handset include a 3.7-inch WVGA resolution, Super LCD display, an eight-megapixel camera with autofocus and a Xenon flash and Dolby sound.

In keeping with all the ten Windows Phone 7 mobiles unveiled yesterday, the Mozart 7 packs a 1GHz processor to keep things ticking over smoothly when multi-tasking and features Microsoft’s new user interface.

Orange has also secured rights the sell the Samsung Omnia 7, albeit not exclusively. Free from £40 per month, the Omnia 7 sports a four-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen and a none too shabby five megapixel snapper with HD 720p video recording and LED Flash.

Samsung’s debut Windows Phone 7 effort has also been picked up by T-Mobile and 3.
