The HTC Flyer will sell from around £430 when it drops in the UK, German pre-order product listings suggests.
The Wi-Fi only edition of HTC’s first ever tablet computer is available to order now sans contract on the German retailer Cyberport for €499. That would equate to a UK price of around £425 or so.
Choose the 3G and Wi-Fi enabled version of the Flyer and naturally you’re looking at extra outlay. But not that much extra, in fairness. Amazon's German site is listing the higher end take on the tablet for €666, or £565 in pounds sterling.
Unveiled along with a seemingly endless array of rival Android powered slates at the Mobile World Congress earlier this month, the Flyer is home to a seven-inch LCD screen and will run the slate optimised Honeycomb edition of Android out of the box.
Other features include a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a rear mounted five-megapixel snapper, a secondary 1.3-megapixel camera at the front for video calling and stylus support for note-taking.
The Flyer is expected to hit UK retailers some time in the second quarter.
