Tech retailer Clove will be selling the HTC Desire S SIM free by the end of the month, ahead of its anticipated launch date of April.
According to a report from Crave, the site, which will be knocking out the Android powered smartie for £406.80, expects to get its first shipment of Desire S smarties “in the last week of March, which is a bit earlier than initially expected”.
The handset – available in black and silver colour variants - won’t officially go on sale on contract plans until April in the UK, when it’ll be available on all major UK carriers.
Running Android 2.3, AKA Gingerbread, out of the box, the Desire S features the same 3.7-inch touchscreen display and five-megapixel snapper as the original Desire, but adds a new 1GHz Snapdragon processor and a front-facing VGA for video calling to sweeten the deal.
April is also expected to see the arrival of the new iteration of the HTC’s best-selling budget blower dubbed the Wildfire S.
