HTC could unveil its next Android challenger, albeit with what appears to be a last-minute name change.
Touted as a female friendly Android phone, the Bliss has emerged anew today in press shots sourced by our Teuton friends at HTC Inside, who claim the fluffy ‘Bliss’ moniker is to be ditched in favour of the tougher, more, ahem, street-level Rhyme when the kit makes its debut.
And that might not be too far away. HTC has this week announced a press call for September 20th, with the rebadged handset almost certain to be present and correct.
Interestingly, despite ‘Rhyme’s’ Hip-Hop connotations, none of the various leaks so far indicate that it’ll have Beats by Dre technology on board to improve its sonic smarts.
But it still sounds like a pretty neat bit of kit, even so, with a spec sheet that takes in Android 2.3 out of the box slathered in take 3.5 of HTC’s Sense custom skin, a 3.7-inch display and dual cameras.
