Motorola has announced that an update to Android Gingerbread will soon be rolled out to Milestone 2 handsets in the UK.
The US phone-maker confirmed via its official Facebook page that the latest software would be made available across Europe starting Q4, as it steps up its Android efforts following its acquisition by Google.
“We can confirm that we expect the Android 2.3 upgrade for Milestone 2 users to begin rolling out in early Q4. More details on timing for each country will be shared closer to availability.”
Features the update brings include a revamped on-screen keyboard with enhanced cut and paste functionality, internet call support and a range of UI and performance tweaks.
Exactly when it will land in the UK is unknown and may vary depending on your network. Those of you rocking the unlocked version of the handset, though, should receive it without a hitch.
