HTC leaks are coming thick and fast this week, with the emergence of a second hitherto unseen Android challenger from the Taiwanese tech giant.
On Wednesday, the tech press was awash with talk of the Android Ice Cream Sandwich-toting HTC Edge – a handset tipped to be the first-ever to rock a mighty quad core processor.
Today, attention has turned to a kit informally dubbed the HTC Ville. Unearthed by the good people at Boy Genius Report, it’s another Android 4.0-powered number but with a more common-or-garden dual core chipset.
Elsewhere, it’s reportedly home to a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED screen, the latest 4.0 version of HTC's Sense custom skin, an eight-megapixel snapper with 1080p video recording and HSPA+ connectivity for super fast browsing.
Like the Rhyme and Sensation XL from the House of HTC, the Ville will also feature Beats by Dre stereo technology, complete with an audio profile courtesy of Hip Hop beat mangler Dr Dre and a free pair of uRBeats headphones.
HTC has yet to set a concrete due date for the handset, but it’s expected to be officially unveiled in February next year at the Mobile World Congress smartphone expo and land on store shelves around April.
