HTC Ville with Sense 4.0 breaks cover in leaked video

Hands-on footage of HTC’s upcoming Ville Android smartphone has leaked ahead of the expected official announcement of the handset next month.

Sourced by our friends across the Channel, the Ville, which is set to become the Taiwanese phone-maker’s thinnest smartphone yet, has been revealed in all its glory in a three-minute silent demonstration (presumably to keep the handler’s identity a secret).

The clip gives us our first glimpse of the slick handset, featuring a brushed aluminium casing that measures an impressive 8.4mm thick, and a look at the brand new Sense 4.0 interface.

Due to join the as-yet unannounced HTC Edge, the Ville looks to be another Android heavy hitter, boasting a 1.5GHz dual core Snapdragon processor with 1GB of RAM, a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display and an eight-megapixel camera.

And in news that will please more than a few of you, the latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich is installed out of the box. There’s also Bluetooth 4.0, a front-facing VGA for video calls and a 1,650mAh battery on board, plus HSPA+ support for download speeds of up to 21Mbps.

The Ville is almost certain to be showcased next month at HTC’s pre-Mobile World Congress presentation on February 26th. We’ll be there for the scoop, so stay tuned for all the official gen very soon.

In the meantime, enjoy the clip:
