HTC One X+, a souped-up version of the original One X that’s currently (secretly) being readied for a US launch, could also be coming to the UK, it has emerged.
Citing a “trusty mole” familiar with HTC’s plans, Stuff reports that a UK version of the One X+ is also incoming, sporting a number of improvements over its forebear, such as a beefier quad-core chip clocked at 1.7GHz, making it faster – on paper, at least - than the Samsung Galaxy S3. Also on board is an improved battery and a new ClearVoice technology that’s said to make calls sound, well, clearer.
Additionally, the handset will be packaged with a free pair of urBeats cans and it’ll be the first kit to support HTC Watch 2 – the newest version of the HTC’s video-on-demand service.
Internally, the UK One X+ is codenamed the Endeavour C2, which we’re guessing – and hoping – won’t be the name when it lands. Looks-wise it’s likely to be nearly, if not completely, identical to the standard One X.
The One X+ is expected to hit shop shelves ‘on or before’ October 1st. Just in time to greet the new iPhone then. Keep ‘em peeled.
