LG is set to show off its new flagship G2 handset at a special New York event later today. But the chaps at evleaks have managed to snag an official snap of the device already, sticking it on Twitter for all to see.
The image shows the G2’s unique rear volume controls, which the Korean company is bound to big up as the future for all smartphones. It also gives us a first, non-blurry look at the device’s neatly curved design.
The LG G2 boasts a nano SIM slot, as well as a stunning 5.2-inch display, the latest Android 4.3 software, 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel camera.
LG hasn’t been shy about telling the world about the G2 ahead of today’s NYC bash, revealing special cases already and seemingly encouraging leaks and hype in the past few weeks.
After years of decline, the phone-maker will be hoping that the phone can consolidate its stronger position in the smartphone market.
Recent rumours also suggest that the G2 would be the basis of the forthcoming Google Nexus 5.
