Sony Ericsson steps up mobile phone World Cup campaign

As part of its sponsorship of the 2010 World Cup, the mobile phone manufacturer has unveiled its Extra Man campaign. Part of this will see the launch of a football app that combines social networking with exclusive content and news.

The application also the chance for supporters to upload photos of their experiences following their team as well as footage of the qualifying games, so that they never need be without their fix of action. However, after the bore-a-thon that was the England vs Slovenia game, we fancy there isn’t a fan around who’d want to repeat that experience.
