Three has sweetened its smartphone plans appeal to data-hungry users with the launch of an add-on offering unlimited data for £3 per month.
As of October 7th, all Three smartphone customers on monthly contract deals are eligible to add all you can eat data to their plan, starting from £18 per month.
According to the carrier, the move reflects users’ changing habits as well as the way that demand for mobile web usage typically grows the longer a customer owns a smartphone.
It’s also aimed at customers who are concerned that this could result in bill shocks if they inadvertently exceed their allowance.
Thomas Malleschitz, marketing director at Three, said: “Our customers tell us that their use of data goes up significantly over the lifetime of their contracts, as they do more and more with their handset.
All-you-can-eat data means that they don’t have to worry, they can have that peace of mind for the long term on a contract of their choice.”
AYCE data was previously only on offer on Three on its premium One Plan or with a £15 bundle for pay as you go customers.
