High-speed network EE has officially revealed tariffs for Apple’s iPad mini and the new iPad fourth-generation, becoming the only UK network to offer the tablets on 4G.

Contract options for the tablets start at £25.99 a month over a two-year term, which gets you 2GB of data. Pay £30.99 and you’ll receive 3GB, or 5GB if you shell out £35.99.

You’ll have to pay an upfront charge for the tablets, though. The iPad mini 16GB is available from £49.99 on the most expensive plan and £149.99 on the cheapest, which probably isn’t the most prudent option considering you can pick it up for £269 from Apple.

The larger iPad with Retina display, meanwhile, will set you back £149.99 for the 16GB variant on the 8GB plan and a wallet-busting £349.99 for the 64GB model for 3GB of data.

"We're delighted to be launching the 4G iPad mini and iPad with Retina display," said Pippa Dunn, EE's Chief Marketing Officer, who also announced a special introductory for early adopters.

"To celebrate the launch on the UK's only 4G network we will be offering customers the chance to try 4G free for a month on our EE £15.99 30 day SIM Only Plan, which comes with 5GB of data and Wi-Fi."

Both iPads will also be available on 3G via Orange and T-Mobile from £21 a month on a two-year contract. Three is already offering the iPad mini for £15 a month for 10GB of data, but for an asking price of £369 for the tablet itself. Alternatively you can pay £29 a month and shell out £59 upfront.
