The next series of 'American Horror Story' will be called 'American Horror Story: Freak Show'.
As that name suggests, the fourth series will have a carnival theme.
The show's co-creator, Ryan Murphy, made the announcement on Twitter. Though his tweet has since been deleted, so he may have jumped the gun. Or maybe more nefarious forces are at work…
Series four will be set in the 1950s in Jupiter, Florida, but will be filmed in New Orleans. Jessica Lange will return as the star.
She'll play a German ex-pat who runs one of America's last freak shows.
Entertainment Weekly reports that the freak show performers will include Kathy Bates (who made her breakthrough in the horror film 'Misery'), Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy.
Former cast members Denis O'Hare and Emma Roberts are in talks to return to the show.
This series will be Lange's last. She also starred in the previous three series of the horror show.
'American Horror Story: Freak Show' will consist of 13 episodes. It will premiere in October.
The show was previously nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.
