'Doctor Who' will have a spinoff show exclusive to BBC iPlayer called 'Doctor Who Extra'.
The show will have a similar format to 'Doctor Who Confidential' – which was dropped in 2011 due to budget cuts – and will follow Peter Capaldi "every step of the way throughout the creation of his first season as The Doctor."
Similarly, 'Doctor Who Confidential' had exclusive behind-the-scenes access.
Showrunner Steven Moffat did promise us more online content, and he said it would be treated as seriously as the show itself.
'Doctor Who Extra' will have exclusive access to stars Capaldi and Jenna Coleman – who plays The Doctor's assistant Clara – as well as the host of guest stars.
The BBC says the show will be "essential viewing" for anyone who's wondered what it's like to be part of the Who team.
Episodes will be 10 minutes long, and will be available straight after the full-length episode airs on BBC One. It will be executive produced by Steven Moffat.
Chris Addison was announced as a guest star this week, and the BBC also revealed all the episode titles and credits, as well as some new images from the first episode. Entitled 'Deep Breath', it will air on Saturday night at 7:50pm on BBC One.
