Amazon's original series have won four Golden Globes, while Netflix failed to win a single one.
'Mozart in the Jungle' won Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy, while 'Mr Robot' picked up Best Television Series – Drama, edging out Netflix's 'Orange is the New Black'.
Two actors also won for their performances in Amazon original series. Gael Garcia Bernal won Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Comedy or Musical for 'Mozart in the Jungle', and Christian Slater won Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for his role in 'Mr Robot'.
Both Amazon and Netflix made huge inroads at last year's Emmys, so the fact Netflix failed to win a single award in its nine nominated categories is quite a shock.
Amazon previously won an Emmy for its series 'Transparent'.
Streaming services dominated the Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy category at this year's Golden Globes, with four of the six nominees made by either Amazon, Netflix or Hulu.
On the film side of things, 'The Revenant' won Best Motion Picture – Drama, while 'The Martian' won Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical.
