Netflix has pledged to make a lot more original content this year. And today we get to see the first trailers for its upcoming dramas 'The Crown' and 'The Get Down'.

First up is the 'The Crown'. The 10-episode series is produced in the UK, and focusses on the political rivalries and romance of Queen Elizabeth II's reign.

It stars Claire Foy as a young Queen Elizabeth and former Doctor Who Matt Smith as Prince Philip.

Also on board are John Lithgow as Sir Winston Churchill, Victoria Hamilton as the Queen Mother, Jared Harris as King George VI, Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret and Dame Eileen Atkins as Queen Mary.

'The Get Down' is a coming-of-age story set in the disco scene of 1970s New York. It's created by Baz Luhrmann ('Moulin Rouge') and Shawn Ryan ('The Shield').

Here's the trailer. Warning: it contains some quite fruity language.

Netflix is now available in an extra 130 countries. 2016 will see it host new content from Ricky Gervais and Chelsea Handler.
